the unbearable heaviness of being

Sometimes it is simply the weight of current situations that seems unbearable.
It can be the guilt that I carry with me after shouting at my child.
Or just the strain of having to do it 'all'.

As my guru once told me, "be of no mind".....ahh, if only for a minute.

Sleepless nights

Thoughts are a powerful thing.
They enter your mind when you least expect it.
Intruding on the activity of the moment.
Staying your actions.
Silencing your motions.
Awake they're chattering loudly.
Asleep they appear submerged in a dream.
Different paths leading to alternative outcomes.
Scenarios faced with opening doors.
Conversations can decide the next direction.
A downward spiral or an upward curve.
It is a toss of a coin that keeps your attention from being focused.
Distraction being a hard thing to let go of.
As a guru once said to me, "be of no mind".
