evening

the light lessons,
minutes tick by,
silence plays it part,
peace is allowed to enter,
it slips, slithers it's way through my humble abode,
resting a while at my daughter's door,
calming quiet settles slowly,
sleep is around the corner,
dreams follow readily,
idle or otherwise.
