Ever so lazy

It was one of those lovely late summer/early autumn days, where the sun is still shining warmly down, enough to have the French doors open.
DC came over at one, which gave me plenty of time in the morning to do some serious cleaning, especially as I hadn't cleaned my flat for over a month. It felt so good to be wrapped up in each other, again. It had been too long, his words, not mine.
Lots of talking. Discussing feelings, emotions, future plans.
Talking about his feelings at being in a relationship, his anxieties about his future in general, although he is confident at his ability to work.
It was funny but we almost couldn't get close enough to each.
We spent much time talking, listening and finally eating delicious salmon salads.
He likes to sit side by side when having dinner in a restaurant, something that I've never done before. It makes the experience more intimate, more enjoyable and shared.
The option for desert was offered.
Any kind of chocolate would be a smash hit.
It ended up being a hot chocolate brownie with molten centre and a scoop of ice cream, except that they had run out of ice cream.
In my knack to see the simple answer, I asked why no-one had popped round to Sainsbury's to buy more.
Finally pudding arrived. The waitress smiled and said that she had popped round to Sainsbury's just to get vanilla ice cream.
Oh wow....above and beyond.
She was fantastic and the pudding was amazing.
We were happy people, with contented tummies.
So here is to those lovely, lazy days, filled with nothing, no schedules, just whatever happens to pass by.

Rapture!

Oh joy!
We have just finished having lunch at my mother's, which means two things.
1. No cooking for me;
2. No washing up for me.
But there was a third thing, the pudding.
Homemade biscuits and what has now become my absolute favourite ice cream of the moment!
Gooseberry & Elderberry ice cream from Budgens.
Yes, I know....Budgens.
But really it is most delicious.
It comes in a small, almost too small container, that possibly could be eaten in one sitting.
My tongue and tummy enjoyed it immensly!

Last night

Last night, after dancing for 3 hours, I drove a friend home as she'd just split up with her boyfriend. She needed cheering up, so I went in with her for a chat. We stood in her kitchen eating Ben & Jerry's Phish Food with a dollop of Nutella on it. Giggling at what we were doing.
I think that did the trick.
Nothing like a sugar high to put a smile on your face!!!!
