The end result and still there is silence....

My photo for Silent Sunday was actually taken earlier today.
It was a collection of ingredients for my child's 'home learning' project.  They have been learning all about the Aztecs and where chocolate originally came from.
Now this is a subject close to my heart.  Those of you who know me even just a little bit, will know that I am rather partial to a good bit of chocolate, so helping my child to make this was a challenge.  By that I mean, not nibbling along the way was bloody difficult.
My daughter wrote out the ingredients, after shopping for them at Sainsbury's and helped prepare them, plus she has designed a wrapper.  She added what she wanted to add and as you will see, here is the end result.

Ever so lazy

It was one of those lovely late summer/early autumn days, where the sun is still shining warmly down, enough to have the French doors open.
DC came over at one, which gave me plenty of time in the morning to do some serious cleaning, especially as I hadn't cleaned my flat for over a month. It felt so good to be wrapped up in each other, again. It had been too long, his words, not mine.
Lots of talking. Discussing feelings, emotions, future plans.
Talking about his feelings at being in a relationship, his anxieties about his future in general, although he is confident at his ability to work.
It was funny but we almost couldn't get close enough to each.
We spent much time talking, listening and finally eating delicious salmon salads.
He likes to sit side by side when having dinner in a restaurant, something that I've never done before. It makes the experience more intimate, more enjoyable and shared.
The option for desert was offered.
Any kind of chocolate would be a smash hit.
It ended up being a hot chocolate brownie with molten centre and a scoop of ice cream, except that they had run out of ice cream.
In my knack to see the simple answer, I asked why no-one had popped round to Sainsbury's to buy more.
Finally pudding arrived. The waitress smiled and said that she had popped round to Sainsbury's just to get vanilla ice cream.
Oh wow....above and beyond.
She was fantastic and the pudding was amazing.
We were happy people, with contented tummies.
So here is to those lovely, lazy days, filled with nothing, no schedules, just whatever happens to pass by.

Part deux

Oh no, succumbed to the remainder of the box.
Would it be wrong of me to now have a glass of wine, while lying in a lovely hot bath?
Hmm...perhaps a tad self-indulgent, eh?

Chocolate.....pah!!!

Oh why am I so weak???
I have absolutely NO self-control.
None!
Zero!
Nada!
I was given a box of chocolates today, Terry's Gold Milk Chocolate (2 shelves).
Admittedly, not the best caliber of chocolate, but chocolate none-the-less.
I managed to open the box and share a few around my child's school, saving most of them for this evening.
Sitting on the couch is when disaster hit.
My sweet tooth kicked in within minutes.
And the rest as they say is history!
